Liftking Webbing Slings 8,000kg

Liftking 8,000kg Duplex Webbing Sling, 2m to 10m EWL

The Liftking 8,000kg / 8 tonne duplex webbing sling is a heavy-duty flat woven polyester lifting sling designed for large plant moves, structural steel lifting, machinery installation and demanding civil engineering applications. With an 8,000kg working load limit, reinforced becket eyes and a 7:1 factor of safety, it is a strong option for heavy industrial lifting where a softer, lighter sling is preferred.

This 8 tonne web sling is manufactured from 100% polyester and colour coded blue for fast WLL identification on site. It is easier to handle than many chain slings of similar capacity and helps protect load surfaces from marking when used correctly. Each sling is manufactured to EN1492-1:2000, certified to TUV and GS standard, and supplied with a certificate of conformity.

Common Uses for an 8 Tonne Webbing Sling

This 8,000kg duplex webbing sling is commonly used by lifting contractors, crane operators, engineering teams and site crews handling large fabricated assemblies, machinery, steelwork and plant equipment. It is well suited to heavy lifts where flexibility, load protection and ease of handling are important.

Typical applications include machinery installation, structural steel positioning, large plant movement, lifting fabricated frames, civil engineering works and demanding site lifting. The wide polyester webbing helps spread contact pressure across the load when used correctly.

Lifting Hitches and Capacity Guidance

Straight Lift

Suitable for vertical lifting up to the rated WLL shown on the sling label.

Basket Hitch

Can be used where the load is balanced, the lift is correctly planned and the sling angle is suitable.

Choke Hitch

Can reduce the effective working load limit. Always check the sling label, hitch factor and lifting plan before use.

LOLER Inspection and Safe Use

As a lifting accessory, this webbing sling should be thoroughly examined by a competent person every 6 months under LOLER, unless a written scheme of examination specifies otherwise. A pre-use inspection should also be completed before every lift.

Check the sling for cuts, abrasion, damaged stitching, chemical contamination, heat damage, illegible labels, pulled fibres, knots or signs of overload. Always protect the webbing from sharp edges, abrasive surfaces and unsuitable lifting conditions.
