Liftking Round Slings 3,000kg
Liftking 3,000kg Endless Round Sling, 0.5m to 6m EWL
The Liftking 3,000kg / 3 tonne endless round sling is a versatile mid-range polyester lifting sling for engineering, construction, fabrication and plant handling. With a 3,000kg working load limit and 7:1 factor of safety, it provides a dependable soft lifting solution for a wide range of industrial applications.
Manufactured from 100% polyester, this 3 tonne round sling has a protective outer sleeve that helps shield the load-bearing fibres from general wear during use. The yellow colour coding allows fast WLL identification on site, while the endless construction provides flexibility when positioning the sling around machinery, steelwork and fabricated components. Each sling is manufactured to EN1492-2:2000, certified to TUV and GS standard, and supplied with a certificate of conformity.
Common Uses for a 3 Tonne Round Sling
This 3,000kg endless round sling is commonly used for lifting machinery frames, fabricated steelwork, workshop equipment, construction materials, plant parts and general industrial loads. It is a useful capacity for riggers and contractors who need more lifting capability than a 2 tonne sling while retaining soft, flexible handling.
Typical applications include machinery movement, construction lifting, fabricated assembly handling, engineering maintenance and plant installation. The soft polyester sleeve helps reduce the risk of surface marking when the sling is correctly selected and used.
How to Measure an Endless Round Sling
Endless round slings are measured by their Effective Working Length, also known as EWL. This is the usable length of the sling when it is laid flat and measured from one end to the other, as shown in the diagram.

The full circumference of an endless round sling is approximately double the EWL. For example, a 2m EWL round sling has an approximate full circumference of 4m.
When choosing the correct length, consider the size and shape of the load, the lifting points, the hook size, the hitch type and the required lifting angle. The sling should sit correctly around the load without being twisted, bunched or forced over sharp edges.
Always select the correct EWL for the lifting method being used and refer to the sling label, lift plan and load chart before use.
Lifting Hitches and Capacity Guidance
Straight Lift
Suitable for vertical lifting up to the rated WLL shown on the sling label.
Basket Hitch
Can be used where the load is properly supported and balanced. Always refer to the sling label and load chart.
Choke Hitch
Can reduce the effective lifting capacity. Always check the sling label, hitch factor and lifting plan before use.
LOLER Inspection and Safe Use
As a lifting accessory, this round sling should be thoroughly examined by a competent person every 6 months under LOLER, unless a written examination scheme specifies otherwise. Users should carry out a pre-use visual inspection before every lift.
Check for cuts, tears, abrasion, damaged stitching, chemical contamination, heat damage, exposed load-bearing fibres, illegible labels, knots or any sign that the sling has been overloaded. Do not drag the sling over sharp edges and always use suitable protection where required.
